Let me be the first to say: yay! You're doing a great job!
Real Developers Ship tag:boxerapp.com,2009-09-04:/blog/id/35//comment_5169 2009-09-04T18:45:16+03:00 2009-09-04T18:45:16+03:00 Hugstari
The greatest Dosbox program ever? I was finally able to get rid of my old DOS computer (sniff) after backing up it's entire (740MB!) hard drive to a DVD. Thank you so much for keeping this going. X-Wing never looked or played this good.
Real Developers Ship tag:boxerapp.com,2009-09-07:/blog/id/35//comment_5178 2009-09-07T18:04:10+03:00 2009-09-07T18:04:10+03:00 Alun Bestor http://washboardabs.net/
Glad to hear you got it fixed Paul :)

Boxer 0.87 does include the smoothing filters - they are built-in to all versions of DOSBox, so I can't take credit for them, although they've undergone some improvements of my own in the Boxer 0.9 branch (coming soon, I promise.) Nice to hear that Boxer is working out so well for you! :)
Real Developers Ship tag:boxerapp.com,2009-09-07:/blog/id/35//comment_5179 2009-09-07T19:04:17+03:00 2009-09-07T19:04:17+03:00 Dave Co.
Thanks for the reply!

I guess I was actually referring to the smoothing filters being menu options (along with the speed slider), which seems to be part of the .9 beta (as seen in this Dev Diary post). I guess we'll have to wait for an official .9 release for these features to see the light of day again?

Not trying to be petty, just clarifying. FANTASTIC work. You've done what Steve Jobs did for the PC: make DosBox actually useful to the average guy. Thanks.
Real Developers Ship tag:boxerapp.com,2009-09-07:/blog/id/35//comment_5180 2009-09-07T23:58:23+03:00 2009-09-07T23:58:23+03:00 Dave Co.
And...apparently I just need to read more closely, because you answered my question in your comment.

Whoops!
